Sheryl has been a law enforcement professional for over 30 years and has earned a terminal degree. She spent nearly 28 years with the Houston Police Department before moving to the City of Waco Police Department, where Sheryl has been the Chief of Police since March 2021.
She is an active community member, as she serves on various boards related to public safety. With her work with the 100 Club Heart of Texas, she realizes the importance of being able to support the families of law enforcement officers. Furthermore, she likes working with the organization because of the genuine care of board members and supporters.
In her time outside work and community service, Sheryl loves traveling, teaching, participating in motivational speaking events, and spending time with family.
