Larry Lynch was born in Waco. He graduated from Waco High, Sam Houston University, and the FBI National Academy. He holds a Master Peace Officer’s License. Lynch is a founding member of The 100 Club Of McLennan County.
His work history includes being a prison guard at The Texas Department of Corrections in Huntsville, TX, an adult probation officer in Dallas County, and the Administrative Lt. for the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office. He was the Sheriff of McLennan County for twelve years and has worked in law enforcement for forty years. After retirement, Sheriff Lynch was the Director of the McLennan County Law Enforcement Academy at MCC College. He is presently a consultant for ICS, a jail supply company.
Sheriff Lynch is married to Frances. They have two grown children, Jennifer and Clint, and two grandchildren, Olivia and Grace.
